Spring is in the air……………….

It’s impossible to believe that we are busy reflecting and preparing for the cafe to open out into the courtyard…..it’s our favourite time of the year.

We have plans to make it extra beautiful this year and are working hard to make things , plant things, prepare the menus and create the space that we have all come to love.

We hope that you enjoy the photos of the last year….so many events….weddings, parties, crochet, singing, in short a real year of celebrations and fun.

We are delighted to be hosting another bite size breakfast extravaganza.

Such a fantastic mixture of songs, entertaining and enlightening. It was very well received by all who attended. Thankyou so much everyone for coming and sharing in our special night.

We had a wonderful time at our South American themed evening. Amy and Andres Patrick and friends shaking marvelous cocktails…. Buttercup cooking with a South American flavour and all in all a fun and fabulous night. We hope to repeat our themed nights….watch this space…

Beautiful Buttercup Weddings

We do love a wedding here at The Buttercup. We’ve had a fabulous summer of special events, creating delicious menus for weddings and parties. Celebrations have been held here in the cafe, others have been in hidden corners of the Sussex countryside, some in our Lewes clients’ own homes & gardens. The sun has shone and our guests smiled. This summer has just been great and we thought you might like to see some of what we’ve been up to…

Crochet Tea Party at The Buttercup

A chance to make all your crochet dreams come true… at a Crochet Tea Party. Come and learn to crochet at The Buttercup Cafe on Wednesday evenings 7pm to 9pm, starting on September 4th 2013. If you are as partial to a bit of crochet bunting (as we are) then you need to get yourself to the very best crochet tea party in town!

£7 per person; all materials provided. Tea, cake and other delicious treats from the cafe kitchen will be available to buy during the evening.

It’s show time!

Roll up! Roll up! The Big Bite-size Breakfast is returning to The Buttercup in Lewes with a new collection of playlets for your delectation. A series of playlets which are guaranteed to surprise and entertain. A most splendid way to spend a Sunday morning. Their latest show is called, “Fresh Fruit” and the following playlets will be on the menu (alongside our delicious coffee and croissant): Thin Air, Elephants & Coffee, Drury Lane,The Needle & The Damage Done.
